Some are just “rental” companies that you can go and pick up items then return them when you are finished with them.
Then there are “drop off” companies that will deliver, set up, leave and then pick up the equipment when you are finished with it.

Something to think about when choosing how you want to proceed is the “liability” factor when throwing an event.
If you use a company where you “pick up” the items, you might become responsible for the items if something happens. (other than a malfunction, of course.)
If you have a company drop off and set up items, you also can also become responsible for anything that happens in your care during the event.
PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS!!
If you choose a company that sets up and runs everything, if something happens with their items, (other than being deemed a negligent act), the company is responsible if something happens, not you!
With that said, a “must do” would be to check the company’s liability insurance to make sure that they are insured properly.
Lastly and most importantly, do not be afraid to ask to be additionally insured at no cost to you for your event!
